| WELCOME TO THE ROCKS IN MY BED HOMEPAGEThe title of this book comes from a Duke Ellington song written in 1941. Anyone who has had rocky times can identify with that feeling. Trying to find a gold mine that was lost in 1864 led me down some bumpy trails. The fun in the writing of this book was the juxtaposition of forgotten treasure and our contemporary international crisis. My friend, Dr. Tom Steele S.J., tells me that seeking lost treasure is a metaphor for our search for lost values. I know that I value the adventure of my exploration of central New Mexico and the many conversations with friends in the development of this book. For those of you who are inspired to look for the Lost Adams Diggings yourself, I am including a partial list of the research materials I used.Allan, Charles.
